All students who are Kyo Sa Certified and who are planning to apply for Ko Dan Ja rank in the future are required to download and complete the Bu Sa Bom Instructor Certification Study Kit, apprenticeship and all other requirements at least one year in advance of a targeted Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa.
3rd Dan KDJSS candidates, 4th Dan and up students who are age 21 up and who are Kyo Sa Certified are eligible to test for Bu Sa Bom.
- There is no fee as of 2023 to download the electronic version of the Bu Sa Bom Instructor Certification Study Kit.

Jo Kyo Instructor Certification Study Kit
Any rank student can acquire a Jo Kyo Instructor Certification Study Kit at any time.
Red belt students age 10 up are eligible to test for Jo Kyo instructor certification.
Students are required to complete the 90-day apprenticeship training and meet all other requirements to be eligible to take the exam.Â
A monthly installment payment option (3 payments) is bundled with a 2nd Dan subscription on the Soo Bahk Do® Institute here.

Students are required to complete 1 year of apprenticeship training and meet all other requirements to be eligible to take the exam.

Sa Bom Instructor Certification Study Kit
Any rank student can acquire a Sa Bom Instructor Certification Study Kit at any time.
3rd Dan candidates and 4th Dan and up students age 25 up who are Kyo Sa Certified are eligible to test for Sa Bom instructor certification.
Students are required to complete 2-years of apprenticeship training and meet all other requirements to be eligible to take the exam at an annual Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa.
A monthly installment payment option (18 payments) is bundled with a 9th Dan subscription on the Soo Bahk Do® Institute here.
