Overview of Silver Moo Do In Program

Mission statement:

  1. To provide longevity for mature practitioners of the Moo Duk Kwan® through physical and mental well-being.
  2. To provide support and guidance for younger generations of Moo Duk Kwan® by example. 
  3. To promote national and international human relations through active participation in the Program. 
  4. To preserve the culture of the Moo Duk Kwan as intended by the founder, Hwang Kee, Chang Shi Ja.

History of development: 

The concept of a Silver Moo Do In program began in 2015 at the U.S.A. Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa and was proposed by visiting Ko Dan Ja who recognized the need to support members approaching their later years.

A task force was set up by Kwan Jang Nim H. C. Hwang and a group of Ko Dan Ja later to develop a plan of action to implement the program. 

*The inaugural opening of the program was presented on August, 27th, 2022 by the Kwan Jang Nim and WTAC via an international Zoom Session

All four Zones of the World Moo Duk Kwan are participating in the program. For information in your Zone: Contact the W.T.A.C. Official of your Zone. 

Eligibility:  

Practitioners should be a member in good standing of the World Moo Duk Kwan national organization in the country of domicile in order to participate, and be Ko Dan Ja or Yu Dan Ja members who are 65  years and older.
