{"id":1719,"date":"2024-04-11T11:34:00","date_gmt":"2024-04-11T15:34:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/soobahkdo.us\/schools\/?page_id=1719"},"modified":"2024-04-15T21:35:16","modified_gmt":"2024-04-16T01:35:16","slug":"gup-certificates-printing-guide","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/soobahkdo.us\/schools\/gup-certificates-printing-guide\/","title":{"rendered":"Gup Certificates Printing Guide"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 16pt;\">The following article covers printing Gup certificates from the <a href=\"https:\/\/soobahkdo.us\/schools\/submit-a-gup-test\/\">Submit Group Gup Test Recommendations page<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 16pt;\">Requirements<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16pt;\">Before you can print certificates, you will need the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16pt;\">Official Gup certificate paper;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/get.adobe.com\/reader\/\">Adobe Acrobat Reader<\/a>\u2014a free download from the Adobe website available for Mac and Windows.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 16pt;\">Printing Instructions<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16pt;\">Create certificates for students by filling in the test recommendation form on the <a href=\"https:\/\/soobahkdo.us\/schools\/submit-a-gup-test\/\">Submit Group Gup Test Recommendations page<\/a>. You can still edit the entry to correct names, dates, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16pt;\">The\u00a0<strong>Print with signature on certificate paper<\/strong> option will generate a PDF file containing the certificate details but no imagery already present on the certificate paper. You should insert the certificate paper so that it will come out the printer in the same way.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-size: 16pt;\">Alignment Test Printing<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16pt;\">After having determined the paper orientation, it is recommended to do an alignment test by first making a photocopy of one of the official Gup certificates and printing the certificate\u2013this time using the actual certificate details rather than the TEST PRINT file \u2014 onto the photocopy. This ensures that the certificate details line up correctly on the certificate paper without wasting the original certificates.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16pt;\">Ensure that the details on the certificate you are about to print is correct.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16pt;\">Make a photocopy of a certificate paper, be careful to use the same size paper to avoid alignment issues.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16pt;\">Insert the paper with the orientation determined in the previous test.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16pt;\">Choose either of the printing options and continue to the step &#8220;Certificate Preview&#8221;.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16pt;\">Download the preview by clicking the &#8220;Open Preview&#8221; button.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16pt;\">Open the file in Adobe Acrobat Reader and print with the same options as the previous test.
