Moo Duk Kwan\u00ae<\/sup> Ko Dan Ja rank (4th Dan and up) certification opportunities and Kyo Bom, Bu Sa Bom, and Sa Bom level instructor certification opportunities in the Soo Bahk Do\u00ae<\/sup> martial art system in the U.S. are available to classing eligible and\/or time eligible U.S. Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation\u00ae<\/sup> members who are recommended and invited to an annual U.S.A. Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa where they are joined by other qualified applicants, guests and Alumni as may be invited. <\/span><\/p>\n

The United States Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation\u00ae<\/sup> Ko Dan Ja candidate selection process is briefly outlined below.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

KO DAN JA CANDIDATE SELECTION PROCESS SUMMARY<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Once per year, all members with current Federation membership in good standing who are classing eligible or time eligible for Ko Dan ja rank are identified.
    \n.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  2. A letter of notification of their eligibility and a questionnaire are sent to all eligible U.S.A. Federation members.
    \n.<\/span>
    \n<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. The names of the eligible members who return their completed questionnaire by the deadline are then submitted to various Federation Officials for recommendations.
    \n.<\/span>
    \n<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Eligible members who receive a majority of positive recommendations from Federation Officials are then sent a formal\u00a0 invitation to test for Ko Dan Ja Rank along with paperwork requirements and event registration materials to be submitted by the deadline.
    \n.<\/span>
    \n<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Recommended eligible members are extended an opportunity to, and some may elect to, test at an international Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa.
    \n.<\/span>
    \n<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. All others fulfilling the paperwork and registration requirements are then scheduled to attend and participate in the week long, one per year Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa where they complete their Ko Dan Ja Rank testing requirements.

  7. In the U.S.A., the TAC Chair may also extend an open invitation to all Ko Dan Ja Alumni inviting them to participate in the week long training and Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa experience as visitors.

    \n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The history of the US Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa is a long and proud one.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Since 2000 the Federation has also hosted A Moment With The Masters in conjunction with the 1st weekend of the Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa.<\/span><\/p>\n

    This aspect of the event provides fellow members with an opportunity to share a few moments with the wave of new Ko Dan Ja hopefuls and current Ko Dan Ja leaders participating in the week long Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa experience.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
